Ingredients:
4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
1 cup chopped broccoli florets, steamed and chopped
1 cup cheddar cheese, shredded (or any other kind of cheese that you like)
Salt and pepper to taste
2 tablespoons olive oil
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon paprika
1 teaspoon dried thyme
Instructions:
Preheat your oven to about a temperature of 375°F (190°C) and then grease with cooking spray or olive oil a baking dish.
Prepare the chicken breasts by cutting them just to create a pocket at the side of each breast without making it go through. You should make an opening so that you can fill it.
To combine, mix in a large bowl the shredded cheese and chopped broccoli. Salt, pepper and mix until well combined.
Distribute equally on each among the four pieces of chicken breast which had been filled with cheese-broccoli mixture. The edges of the chicken must be pressed together to seal the filling completely.
In another small container, blend garlic powder, dried thyme and paprika together with olive oil. Spread this paste over all the surface area for an even coat on all sides of your chicken.
While keeping some other stuffing if available sprinkle over top; place stuffed ones in your prepared pans for baking.
Preheat the oven for 25-30 minutes before baking until the chicken is cooked through and the cheese is melted and bubbly. As a result, sometimes it might take a little bit longer to cook your chicken hence it’s always good to slice into the thickest part of your meat in order to check if it is done.
After cooking, remove from oven and allow the chicken to sit for a few minutes before serving. This helps in redistributing juices so that you can have juicy and tender chicken.
Roasted vegetables, mashed potatoes or even a crisp salad are best served with Broccoli Cheese Stuffed Chicken Breast. Have a great taste of this nutritious meal!
Also, you may alter the seasonings as well as cheese according to what tastes you like most then finally; you might change stuffing by including other items like mushroom, spinach or sun dried tomatoes among others. Bon appétit!
