Homemade Payday Candy!!!

 

Introduction

Peanut lovers have always had a sweet tooth for payday candy bars because of their chewy, sweet and oh-so-slightly salty all at once! This homemade version of the candy bar stays true to the original candy bar but tastes a whole lot better because it’s made at home. I myself cannot be tempted by any Weeks payday but this gluten free snack is hard to keep myself from indulging in.

 

Ingredients:

3 cups salted peanuts

2 cups peanut butter chips

2 cups mini marshmallows

1 (14 oz) sweetened condensed milk

3 tbsp unsalted butter

1/2 mga vanilla extract (optional)

 

Instructions:

Prepare the utensils: Take a baking dish of size 9×13 inch and either grease it with oil, use non-stick foil or greaseproof paper for easy clean-up afterwards.

Make Sure To: Place in a large pot the butter and the peanut butter chips, do this over heat medium. Stir contents until smooth.

Combine the remaining ingredients: Pour in the sweetened condensed milk and vanilla extract (if included), thereafter add in the mini marshmallows. Ensure to stir routinely until all the marshmallows have melted and blended with the mixture.

Add in the Peanuts: Of the salted peanuts, the flesh of half is placed evenly on the lower surface of the pan prepared for baking.

Pour the mixture: The dish containing the filler peanut butter is poured onto any of the gunner in a spoodle the smooth is tilted with a spatula to settle.

Top with more peanuts: Over that mixture are sprinkle while the roasted peanuts are still salty and pressed over the thin liquid foundation.

Chill and set: To obtain a crust, the bars can either be left out for approximately two hours or chilled to thicken about 1-2 hours.

Cut and serve: After that cut and serve these cookies into pieces that are so sweet and perfect for dessert!

 

Serving and Storage Tips:

Serving: The consistency of these bars can be adjusted according to preference; they can be served at room temperature if a softer center is desired or cool if a firmer, chewer textured bar is preferred.

Storage: Wrap the bars in a good non-porous container. At room temperature, they will last for 5 days while in the fridge, they will last for 2 weeks. For extended periods, the bars can be placed in the freezer and they will last for 3 months. They are ready to eat as soon as they are thawed at room temperature.

 

Tips for Success:

Consistency is key: Keep stirring the peanut butter mixture throughout to prevent it from burning while ensuring that the marsh mellows are well melted.

Layering evenly: Ensure that peanuts are placed both inside the mixture as well as packed on the top for a balanced and even distribution of nuts in every bar.

Firmness: Place the bars in the refrigerator for at least an hour before cutting them to get a firmer structure.
